lavishly; this is called the aarti ceremony. A ceremony in which
sacred water is sprinkled over clay pots that are filled with
different types of grains is called Pallikai Thellichal. After this
the Nichiyadhartam and Lagna Pathrikai are performed in front of the
priest and on the final day the Mangala Snaanam, Kashi Yatra, Oonjal,
Kanyadaanam and saptapadi are carried out thereby marking the

functions are supported on the idea to make the pair realize the
importance of the consecrated knot. This is the fundamental fact,
